Pricing: Credits
Pay for the work, not the seats. One balance for everyone on your team.
Credits are spent when research gets done: transcribing a source, asking Qwin questions, publishing a report, and more. Here's what uses them, how to estimate what you'll need, and what happens if you run out.
How do these credits work
Pay for what you use. When you find your value in Xperius, we all win.

How far do credits go?
Let's see this play out for a team of 5 over the course of a year.
Need more than what's in your package?
Need to get one last study analyzed? If you run up against your plan limits before the end of your term, all is not lost. Purchase credits to cover any additional overages across your plan.

Xperius has unlimited seats. You pay for what your team does, not for how many people sign in. Each plan comes with a yearly credit allowance, delivered in monthly installments to one balance shared by your whole organization. Credits are spent when work happens: uploading and transcribing sources, storing sources (charged monthly for as long as they're kept), asking Qwin questions, publishing reports, linking items from integrations (each Figma file or Jira ticket), viewing a showcase report, and making requests through our MCP server.
You can use most of Xperius without spending credits. Viewing, organizing, and connecting evidence on the map is free, as is creating questions, findings, insights and opportunities. So are editing drafts, changing settings, and inviting as many people as you like to the platform or your showcase (each showcase visit will use one credit, however). Credits are only spent when something gets processed or published.
Most teams can work it out from how many research projects they run in a year. Starter suits teams running about 10 projects, Growth about 40, and Scale about 100. A typical project — [5 interviews, 5 integrations, 1 published report] — uses around 550 credits. If you're between two plans, start with the smaller one: you can top up anytime at your plan's rate, and unused credits never expire. Work through the example above for your own team. Our Sales Team is also happy to help you figure this out.
Yes. Everyone draws from one balance, including researchers, designers, product managers and stakeholders. There's no per-person allowance to manage and nothing to reassign when people join or leave.
You can top up your balance at any point in your term in the platform "Account & Billing" page, at the same per-credit rate as your plan. If your balance runs out before you top up, work doesn't stop. The credits used in between are billed at the standard overage rate of $0.08 each invoiced at the end of your term. If you often run low, it's cheaper to top up early or move up a plan.
Yes, and they never expire. Unused credits, including topped-up ones, stay in your balance when you renew.
It depends on how you pay. On annual billing, your full year of credits arrives at the start of your term. On monthly billing, you get the same allowance split into monthly amounts, one-twelfth of the yearly total each month. Either way, unused credits roll over, so a quiet month leaves more for a busy one.
